I was shocked by how early Amis “fix” (break) their pets. Shelters do it to kittens and puppies as early as 8 weeks age. INSANE.
With proper obedience training, dogs never need desexing. And cats only if outdoor or if mating behaviors become unbearable.
Iām glad I came across your content. I have my first female puppy and sheās tiny a teacup poodle. I donāt want to put her under anesthesia or surgery right now not to mention messing with her hormones.
Short answerā¦noā¦not unless thereās a medical need for itā¦time to start normalizing keeping them intact with the new recommendations from WSAVA.

But my vet told me to wait till her 1st heat n then to spay ?!!!
