6 months TOO young
I was shocked by how early Amis “fix” (break) their pets. Shelters do it to kittens and puppies as early as 8 weeks age. INSANE.
With proper obedience training, dogs never need desexing. And cats only if outdoor or if mating behaviors become unbearable.
I’m glad I came across your content. I have my first female puppy and she’s tiny a teacup poodle. I don’t want to put her under anesthesia or surgery right now not to mention messing with her hormones.
But my vet told me to wait till her 1st heat n then to spay ?!!!
Short answer…no…not unless there’s a medical need for it…time to start normalizing keeping them intact with the new recommendations from WSAVA.
