I have a friend with a behavior issue cat right now. Cats caregiver in dementia facility. Cat is peeing everywhere. Has ruined couches, carpet, beds. Vet says it’s behavior, no medical needs. She has her crated now so she doesn’t destroy more things. She is desperately trying to surrender the cat and/or rehome. Shelters are not accepting surrenders in my area, even with a sizeable donation. No other family. Her vet has suggested euthanasia or just letting her loose and be an outside cat, where she’ll surely suffer and die. Euthanasia may be kinder. My friend is distraut and definitely not a killer. It’s such a sad situation 😞.
